This saturation beats down on us every day. We use color to make us want, make us need. It shines down from our televisions, our magazines, our billboards. It is “artfully” used to make us ignore the beauty of the older and used, in favor of the shiny and bright. Or it changes the mood, makes things cheery when its not, depressing when happy.
